All six high-speed trains manufactured by Hyundai Rotem for providing services to guests of the forthcoming 2012 continental football tournament will be delivered to Ukraine in mid-May, Ukrzaliznytsya Deputy Director-General Leonid Loboyko is quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the railway official, traffic of the trains that are due to connect Euro-2012 host cities will be organized in pendulum mode. “The first two trains will come in mid-March, the next two in mid-April, and another two by 7-10 May,” Leonid Loboyko said.
Let us remind you that, in line with the contract signed between Ukrzaliznytsya and Hyundai Rotem, Ukraine will get 10 inter-regional electric trains of nine carriages each in the course of 2012. The first train of this kind was handed over to the government delegation headed by Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov on 20 December 2011.
