Fans of the Swedish national football team which will live in Kyiv during Euro-2012 may be accommodated in the camping in Hydropark in the capital city, the head of the Kyiv City State Administration’s Euro-2012 General Directorate, Tetyana Slyshyk has said on the air of the Kyiv TV channel.

“Of all proposals considered by us, this (fans’ accommodation – editorial note) can be most realistically done in Hydropark. All our directorates are presently working together with us on approaches, entries, possibilities of resolving the issues of sanitary cleanup, and permanent toilets and showers should be obligatorily arranged there. There are still numerous of issues to be resolved,” she said.

Tetyana Slyshyk has emphasized that the Swedish national team has a strong and well-organized fans’ group which had already announced its willingness to live in a camping in a picturesque place. Some 6,000 Swedish fans are already examining the possibility of being accommodated in a tent camp site in Kyiv, but there are assumptions that the number of those willing may increase to 15,000-16,000 before the beginning of the tournament.

The head of the Euro-2012 General Directorate has also said that UEFA had established a normative for the capital city: it should provide 17,500 hotel rooms and beds for fans. As of the present moment, contracts on 25,000 rooms have been already concluded.
